Slalom skis around 6 balls/bouys,and then skis through the exit gates.

The boat speed is constant at 58K or 36 miles per hour for men and 56k or 34 miles per hour for women.

With each successful pass the rope length is reduced increasing the level of difficulty.

The Jump event is scored completely on distance.

The jump is set at 6 feet for men and 5 feet for women.

The boat speed is constant for each skier but the athletes can use a single

or a double cut to the jump generating as much speed as possible.

Each skier gets 3 jumps and the skier with the longest jump is the winner.

In the men’s event the skiers are soaring over 50 mtrs..

Tricks/Shortboard

The short-board event consists of 2 x 20 second passes where the skier performs as many tricks as possible.

Each figure has a point value depending on difficulty. The skier with the highest points is the winner.

There are no points for form or technical merit like there is in figure skating.

Overall: The male and female skier who accumulates the most points in all three events is crowned the Overall National Champion.
